Meeting new friends

This afternoon we met with the other families of young blind children who live in Gainesville. There are two other young children, a four year old boy and a two year old girl. It was neat for Stephen and me to see a glimpse into our future with a visually impaired child, the joys and challenges - watching your child go off without you to play, having more children (each family has another younger child who was born without any impairment), sending children to school, disciplining, etc. We're also excited to just meet more people with children that we can do things with. In fact, I already have made plans with the other mothers to go see a movie next Friday night! In this picture are the families of the other two kids and the two parent advisors from FSDB. Our advisor is the one holding Leah.
