We had another ultrasound done today and Baby Burgin is looking healthy. I am technically 18.2 weeks pregnant, but Baby Burgin is measuring at about 17.8 weeks pregnant, which is in the 35th percentile. The nurse who did our ultrasound, assured us that our baby is perfectly healthy and developing wonderfully. When she was doing measurements of everything, she said that the size of the developing brain measures in millimeters equal to the age of the baby. Our baby's brain is 18.5 millimeters in diameter, so it is measuring bigger than it's age. What else would you expect from our child?! The pictures below are profile pictures of the baby's face. Notice the cute little nose. In the second picture you can really see the spinal column in detail. Stephen says it is obviously the profile of his little boy. I guess we'll know for sure in another 22 weeks!

Yay! The pictures are great and we're so happy that baby Burgin is healthy! And I know Stephen thinks it's a boy, but I think I can make out a pretty little girl profile too! We'll have to wait and see!

We need a new side profile pic in the orange shirt and an update on how you're feeling! Any big kicks yet?!
ReplyDeleteHi guys! Rachael, have you felt baby yet?? I'm still waiting! Its crazy because in the ultrasound the baby was moving everywhere, but I just dont feel anything yet! I sometimes think I feel something, but then I think maybe not! Our scanner still isnt working! But we'll figure it out soon. Tomorrow we have a 3-D ultrasound, so that will be fun! We're praying for your baby all the time. Love, Sophie and Gabe
