The Crib!

We finally got the crib! We picked it up on Tuesday, got it built, and now it's ready to go! The baby won't be sleeping in it for at least a few months, but it is ready nonetheless.

It's so much fun to get those last pieces put into place. Stephen also put the car seat base in my car. We are still a few weeks away from the due date, but we just wanted to be ready. Just in case! It's starting to get very real!

On a side note, we have our second Child Birth Education class tonight. There are 4 classes in all, where they will talk with us about the whole labor and delivery process, pain management choices, and we get to take a tour at the hospital, among other things. We have also taken a Nursing class and a Newborn Care class. At our Newborn Care class, Stephen got to change a diaper, change clothes, and swaddle a baby doll. I was very proud of him. He is very excited to be a dad and really wants to be involved, which makes me very happy!

  1. Rachael, you are such a cute pregnant mama! Congrats on the coming baby! That mural is so cool - we also have a sea creature nursery (and now a surf girl one too!).
    Excited for you guys, Vanessa
