Leah's 4 week check-up

Last Friday, Leah had her four week check-up. The pediatrician said that she looks very healthy and cute. She weighed 9 lbs. 5 oz., which is in the 75%. She gained 12 oz. in the 14 days from her last appointment, which the doctor said was excellent. She should be gaining between 1/2 oz. to 1 oz. a day, so she is right on target. She is 22 1/4 in. long; she has grown 1 1/4 in. Her head is 39 cm in circumference. Both her head and her length are in the 95%. 

Our precious angel is getting bigger, louder, and more expressive everyday! She has decided in the last few days to really let us know how she feels, whether good or bad. She has started to cry a little more, which is not too bad considering she has hardly cried at all in her first 5 weeks of life. She has also started to smile a little too! After she eats and is awake and alert, she has started really looking around and checking things out and giving little contented smiles. It won't be too long until she is smiling in response to us. Here is a picture of one of her sweet little smiles. Also, Leah's eyes are finally starting to change from the baby slate gray/blue color. See if you can tell.
