Happy Father's Day!

Today we celebrate Stephen and the wonderful father he is. He has always been a willing caretaker, never afraid of a diaper, a bath or a meal. He has learned how to fix hair and make ponytails. He has probably picked out just as many outfits as I have. In the last couple of months, though, Stephen has stepped up even more. When we decided to take Leah out of daycare for the month of May, I gave Stephen the challenge of sticking to a strict daily schedule, just like daycare, complete with learning time. And, Stephen has more than met the challenge. He has made sure that Leah has exercised, played, gone on outings, sang and danced, had all of her meals and naps, and has had learning times. She has even made a couple of crafts. I don't know how many dads would actually stick to that strict of a schedule for more than a month, much less come up crafts, look up and go to story times at the library, and go to the mall for some fun playing in the kids' play area! I was worried about Leah regressing with not being in daycare, but she has continued to make so much progress. She is pretty consistently pulling up to standing and even starting to cruise a little while standing. We are so proud of her, and much of her progress is due to Stephen's great care! They have really developed a routine and special bond in this past month too!

Every morning, Daddy gets the computer and Leah rests on him while they check up on things!

They like to sit on the couch together and just relax. If you're wondering why Leah is shirtless...it's summer in Florida!
