We just got home (Rachael's parent's house in Miami) from the Bascom Palmer eye institute. Leah did well during her procedure (better than daddy did watching her struggle against the anesthesia) and her eyes are stable. At this point, no news is good news. We all still praying to one day hear a diagnosis, but we know that this situation is in the Lord's hands.
Before her procedure. The "L" and the "R" look very cute with her "soooooooooo big!" hospital gown.
Poor baby in the process of waking up. She just needed her mommy.
We just checked and read your blog update. We are glad that is over with for now anyway. Poor little pumpkin. You are right that our Lord Jesus is in control. We love you all so much and prayed for you and for Leah today.
ReplyDeleteGlad she did well.

I cannot imagine how incredibly hard it must be for you, as parents, to have to watch your child go through so much, so young. I pray for God to continue to give you all strength as you endure all these visits, and all the uncertainty of the diagnosis and prognosis. But I'm happy that the eye specialist at Bascom Palmer has taken such an interest in Leah. I pray so much for you all, all the time! I know Leah was happy to wake up and snuggle with her Mommy after this was over!!
ReplyDeleteWe love you! Keith, Denise, Kaetlyn and Kyla
Sounds like a really challenging day... We're thinking of you all.
ReplyDeleteRachel, your smile in this picture is evidence that Sweet Leah couldn't have a better Mommy. God's plan in action.
