It's been a long time since our last update! We are getting ready to start our 4th week of school and it's been a busy beginning of the year. Stephen is starting to analyze his dissertation data while supervising pre-interns this semester and interns in the spring. He is also starting the job search (woo-hoo!). It is going to be a full year!I started the year teaching advanced first graders second grade instruction and changed in the second week of school to teaching a kindergarten-first grade combination class. The good news is my kindergarten students are advanced, so I am teaching first grade instruction to them. Needless to say, I had to do a bit of adjusting! Leah has started back at Baby Gator in a new class, but with one of her old teachers, Ms. Kim. We love Ms. Kim and are so glad Leah is back with her. She loves Leah enough to push her in her development. Leah has adjusted well to being back in school.

| This was the happy girl, who came home from school in a different outfit because she found a mud puddle at school to play in and got very messy! |
We also got to celebrate Andrew's 19th birthday with him. It was the first one I have ever spent with him and the first for Stephen since he was in high school. We have either been in college or a different country and so have missed out on it. We were so glad to spend this one with him.
The last two weeks have brought on the beginning of the college football season. Stephen and Andrew have season tickets to the UF games. Stephen is loving getting to share this experience with Andrew. Leah got her new Gators shirt and was excited to show it off!

I love all the pictures, but my real favorite is the one with the new outfit on after the mud puddle. She looks like she is very pleased with herself. It's so wonderful that she is getting to explore her world like all the other kids - even to the point of getting into a mud puddle! I love Baby Gator for allowing her to do that!
ReplyDeleteLove you all!

Oh my goodness, our Leah Rose is growing up so fast. She is amazing and so beautiful. We loved the blog and love hearing of her happenings. We are sorry we weren't able to wish Andrew a Happy Birthday. We were at the beach with no internet. I did send a belated wish on Facebook. You and Stephen are one busy couple. We miss you and love you all.
