Happy Easter

It's always hard to decide how to "celebrate" holidays with Leah because she doesn't have an understanding of them and doesn't really care about them. Leah has been to egg hunts before, but has never shown any interest in the hunt or the eggs. However, this year we decided we would try a mini-egg hunt with Leah's talking eggs. I'm so glad we did it this year, because she actually "hunted"! Not only that, but she enjoyed finding her basket and the bunny in it, as well as the candy. It's funny how little things like shaking an egg and eating a jelly bean can mean so much. We are thankful for the way that having Leah has taught us to appreciate the simple things in life. Now, check out the pics of Leah's first real egg hunt!
"What is that sound?"
"Let me get just a little bit closer"

 "What is this thing?"

 "It's very soft and cuddly."

"This one has something in it"

 Yummy jelly beans

I think someone enjoyed her first egg hunt!

Happy Easter from the Burgins!
