Christmas in D.C., part 2

The tradition in the Burgin family is to open up Christmas pajamas on Christmas Eve. That way Christmas morning pictures have everyone in their brand new pjs. We kept this tradition and all opened up our pajamas after the Christmas Eve service at Sarah and Dustin's church. The only problem was that we couldn't find Stephen's pajamas. We thought that somehow they got left in Gainesville. Poor Stephen was so sad. The good news was that we found them on Christmas morning when Patty was opening up a present for Caroline that was a little too big!
Leah opened up her present with a little help from her a couple of her cousins.
Grandma and all of her grandchildren in their Christmas jammies.
We decided to do something new this year and have the adults open their presents on Christmas Eve after the kids went to sleep so that Christmas morning could be focused on the kids opening their presents. It really made opening the tons of presents we had, a lot easier to spread it out over two days!
Leah says, "I like my Christmas jammies, but now I'm ready for all of my other presents!"
Great-Grandma Burgin got Leah a cute bunny that talks and sings when you push buttons on it's paws. Leah already loves her "Rosie" bunny
Leah got a lot of new books this year, mostly ones that have buttons to push that make sounds.
Leah says, "Thanks for all of my presents!"

  1. We loved your blog. Leah is so beautiful with all that curly hair. We are so happy that you all had a great Christmas together. The only thing better would have been if we could have joined you. You all look so happy and ready for a New Year. We love you and miss you.
