Christmas in DC, part 1

After leaving Miami, we made the long trip to DC to spend Christmas with the Burgin family. We broke up the drive over three days, so it wasn't so bad. It was so special to be with the whole Burgin family for Christmas. Who knows when the next time is that we will all be together? It was also fun to be in our Nation's capitol. We did a couple of necessary DC things: American History museum, Natural History museum, and U.S. Capitol tour.
There was a discovery room for kids at the Natural History museum that all of the kids enjoyed. Leah showed Anna Kate all about light boxes.

Leah loves the Gators!

One of the statues in the Capitol is of Helen Keller. Leah liked feeling the Braille and we really loved the quote from her on the statue. (see the quote at the top of the blog)

All five of the grandchildren, waiting for the tour to start.

Leah says, "Hello, from Washington, D.C."
