More from Oregon

We had such a good time in Oregon. In the midst of this crazy summer, it has been so wonderful to be with so much family. It has been nice for us to share Leah with others. She is such a happy, sweet girl. Grandma especially loved spending time with "her girl". Here they are one morning. Notice Leah's bed head. Isn't she cute in her sleeper?!
We also had a great time celebrating Grandma and Grandpa's 60th wedding anniversary. There was a lot of effort that went into making it an amazing party, but after most of the party left, we had time to sit and talk. We had fun with both Aunt Pattys and Kari. Notice Little Aunt Patty's huge piece of cake. It's okay, though, because she is pregnant with our future niece or nephew. Little baby Tolbert is due out in February.
We also got to do a little bit of a hike up to an incredible lookout point on Larch Mountain. From this point you can see 4 mountains, as well as the Columbia River and Portland. Fortunately, we went up there on a clear enough day to see Mount Hood.

  1. I just want to know what hilarious story Kari must have been telling by the look on Petrie's face! And Leah looks adorable in that last shot except for the awful blue and orange bow! Was there a game or something that day, or you three always wear mismatched colors?

  2. What great pictures! I know you all had a wonderful time with Grandma and Grandpa (and all the Burgin family). Love the picture on the mountain. What a heavenly view! And Sarah, if you notice, Stephen is always wearing his UF hat, Rachael has on her UF shirt, and Leah is wearing her UF bow. I'm sure under that blanket is orange and blue as well! Don't you know we all bleed orange and blue! Even in Oregon!
    Love you guys,
