  1. Stephen and Rachael,
I work with your mom at the SCCLC. She let us know about Leah Rose. Please be assured of our prayers for your family at this time.

  4. Oh Stephen and Rachael, I have an amazing thing to share with you. I told my 10th grade US History class about Leah's surgery and we prayed for her this morning. Then this afternoon when Dad called and I took the phone outside the classroom 3 of my 10th grade girls were outside and they waited until I got off the phone with Dad to come and see how Leah was doing. I told the 3 of them that the surgery would be this afternoon and a little about what a shunt was. Then one of my best students, Cherie, looked at me and said "Mrs. Burgin, I have a shunt. Do you want to feel it on the side of my head under my hair? I got it when I was 4 years old." I told her that she was an amazing encouragement to me and she is one of the most beautiful and sweet girls that I know. All three of them were amazed that Cherie could be an encouragement by what she had gone through 12 years ago. God is good. Keep looking to Him for all that you need.

    Love you,
    Mom
